The United States of "Duh."

My wife and I were watching the current season of The Great Race this evening. What we saw left us R.T.F.L.O.A.O. ("rolling on the floor laughing our a* off").

One of the destinations in this week's stage of the race is Cambodia. One of the teams is a pair of college fraternity brothers. As they read the papers that told them to go to Cambodia, one of our erstwhile heroes exclaimed in dispair:

"Cambodia?! Where the hell is Cambodia?!"

His partner looked at him in disbelief.

"It's in Asia, you dumb a* !" the partner said.

Our first hero said "shut up! I didn't go to a fancy private school like you did..."

As if that wasn't enough, later in the program another contestant addressed a Cambodian local as "Senior" (as in "Si, senior.") My wife and I were absolutely incredulous. This must have been something they wrote into the show. We just can't believe that our fellow Americans can be so spontaneously and magnanimously stupid.

Chalk up another one for our socialist ed-joo-ma-kay-shen system.
